If you have a digital camera you probably have a lot of photos stored on your computer. Did you know that you can turn those photos into a screen saver? Now you can see a slide show of your photos when your computer is idle. Here is how to do it. First, right-click on a blank spot on your desktop. In the drop down menu, choose "Properties". You will then get the Display Properties dialog box, from which we will be choosing the Screen Saver tab.

Now you are at the display properties box. In the screensaver selection box, choose the "My Pictures Slideshow" option. Now click the "Settings" button to get to the dialog box where you will choose the pictures you want to use.

You will get a simple navigation box to get to your folder. Note here that you will not be able to choose individual photos, just the folder that contains them. You might want to create a folder just for your screen saver pictures and copy the pictures you want to use into that folder. Make that new folder the one that the My Pictures Slideshow screensaver uses. You can add new pictures to that folder anytime and they will be added to the screensaver automatically.

After making your option selections for how often the pictures change, how big should they be and so on, click on the "Browse" button to navigate to the folder that your picture that you want to use are stored.

After you have selected the folder, click OK to come back to this dialog box. Check your settings again to make sure this is what you want and then click OK to exit.

Back on the Display Properties dialog box click Apply and then OK to exit. Your pictures will now be used for your next screensaver!
