The Power of "Personal"

As a professional, you know that effective communication improves your bottom line...profits!

So you know that keeping in close touch with your clients is of utmost importance. And you also know that adding that "personal touch" can often mean the difference between closing or losing the sale. Whether you're a Real Estate professional, a health products salesperson, or even a newsletter editor like myself,  you've  worked hard to build your contact list. You have a large client  and prospect base, so writing a personal letter to each individual would be great but it's an impossible task...or is it?! You don't want your client to feel like a "part of the herd", and you want to protect their privacy, so you won't send them "Carbon Copy" messages, or put their address in the "To:" field for all their competition to see, but what can you do?

Oh, sure! You could put your entire client list in the "BCC" field...yeah, a really personal touch!

But wait, you are protecting your clients privacy. None of the recipients can see the other addresses. That's always a better practice than "CC". However, you still have nothing but a "Dear Customer" letter (not the way to gain friends and influence people!). It is a proven fact that people are more likely to read and respond to a letter if that key element, THEIR NAME, is present. You could cut and paste specific information into individual emails...you could, but would you?

You need the ability to send out sales or promotional letters that are targeted for specific clients or prospects...

Your promotion may be geared to clients and prospects in, say, Arkansas and New York. Or maybe that great special offer will only be available for a sub-set of your client base. Filling your clients inbox with info they can't use could have, well, less than desired results! Picking and choosing just who to send to is easy, your client information is neatly organized into a database program or spreadsheet, or a tab or comma delimited list of some kind (I use Access and Excel). Your email addressbook contains all the information you need about your clients. Your information is very complete, well organized and easy to merge for printed sales letters. But what about an email advertising campaign? Help is here, and it's quick, easy and inexpensive. Let me tell you, as a newsletter editor with an ever growing list of new subscribers, I have been scouring the Internet for a program that would help me tame the personalization beast. And I've found it!

Use your existing database, spreadsheet, even your email addressbook to create effective, targeted emails...quickly and easily!

That's right...quick and easy does the trick. No messy, complicated importing or exporting. No messing about with data you can't afford to lose or alter by accident. Almost a point and click operation it even comes with an integrated query and search function. I personalized my newsletter the first time in about 2 minutes. I pointed WorldMerge to my Eudora addressbook of subscribers. I pasted the newsletter into the message area ONE time, added the special field codes using the easy drop down list ONE time, and clicked "Send" ONE time. Then I sat back with a cup of coffee and watched the software do my work for me! What did I accomplish that I couldn't before? Well, here is an example:

Before WorldMerge, one "shotgun" newsletter:

After WorldMerge, individual, personalized newsletters:

I think you get the picture! And I was able to fulfill a request from one of my subscribers that was impossible before. He suggested including the email address that the subscriber used to sign up somewhere in the newsletter because..."all the best newsletters do that". Well, before WorldMerge, NO WAY could I do that. My list is too large to make individual entries like that. After WorldMerge...NO PROBLEM!

Ok, Steve! Sounds good, but what will this amazing software cost me?

Glad you asked! But first...I think you ought to try it before you buy it. It won't matter if  it's only $2.95, if it won't work for you, it's a waste of good money! Go to WorldMerge and download the free evaluation copy. Test drive it, put it through its paces. See if it's right for YOU. If not, just uninstall it and forget it. But if it is...and I know you'll love it as much as I do, you can register the software for about $50 and even though you tried it first, there is still a money back guarantee! I expected it to be a lot more expensive, it does so much and is so easy to use. WorldMerge is one of the best investments you will ever make for your internet and email based marketing program. Here's to your success!
